NOTE: You must have at least one mobile app ready for submission (or already published) in either the Apple App Store or Google Play Store before setting up an account.

(A simple name to distinguish your app — choose wisely as it will appear in all your links. Maximum 15 characters.)

(A 9–10 digit number found in your app's distribution page: General → App Information → Apple ID.)

Attribution links include information about where a user discovered your app — for example: an email campaign, your website, or a partner site. You can then check your Smart Links dashboard to see which sources are driving installs and engagement.

Any query parameter starting with utm_ will be considered an attribution link and tracked for the dashboard. You can follow the pattern used by Google Analytics:

  • utm_source — Identifies the advertiser, site, or publication sending traffic (e.g., google, newsletter, facebook).
  • utm_medium — Identifies the marketing medium (e.g., cpc, banner, email, social).
  • utm_campaign — Identifies a specific product promotion or strategic campaign (e.g., spring_sale, product_launch).

Or you can create your own parameters, as long as they start with utm_.

No special setup is needed to use them. Just start adding them to your Smart Links and they will show up on your dashboard.
